چکیده
This paper presents a novel family of jarosites with the molecular formula MFe3(SO4)2(OH)6·xH2O; M = Na, K, NH4 that have high efficiency in adsorption As(V) and Pb(II) dissolved water. The been prepared by conventional heating at temperatures close to 95 °C for 3 h. synthesis method was improved optimized reduce time energy consumption. allowed Na− K−jarosites yield up 97.8 wt.% 105 150 °C, respectively, Na−, K−, NH4−jarosites were synthesized 5 min via microwave-assisted method, which yielded jarosite crystalline agglomerates more uniform topography, shape, size than method. Both methods selective jarosites. Chemical decomposition suspended water occurred pH less 2 higher 10 °C. In solid state, thermally stable least 300 Na−jarosite presented maximum capacity (Qmax) 65.6 mg g−1 94 Pb(II). are considered promising bifunctional adsorbents remediation contaminated due their stability, ions different natures.

Small scale laboratory experiment series were performed to study the suitability of a cyclodextrin-based sorbent (ß-cyclodextrin bead polymer, BCDP) for modelling the removal of micropollutants from drinking water and purified waste water using simulated inflow test solutions containing target analytes (ibuprofen, naproxen, ketoprofen, bisphenol-A, diclofenac, β-estradiol, ethinylestradiol, est...
متن کاملRemoval of arsenic from water by different adsorbents
Present study is carried out for the removal of As(lII) from water using commonly available adsorbents such as sand, from Yamuna river (Delhi ), as well as from Ganga river (Kolkata), activated carbon, Hametite ore and sand -iron scrap mixture. All these adsorbents are used as received but sand and activated carbon which do not show much adsorption for As(lII) are modified by treating with diff...
متن کاملArsenic removal from water/wastewater using adsorbents--A critical review.
Arsenic's history in science, medicine and technology has been overshadowed by its notoriety as a poison in homicides. Arsenic is viewed as being synonymous with toxicity. Dangerous arsenic concentrations in natural waters is now a worldwide problem and often referred to as a 20th-21st century calamity. High arsenic concentrations have been reported recently from the USA, China, Chile, Banglade...
متن کاملOrganic-Inorganic Hybrid Polymers as Adsorbents for Removal of Heavy Metal Ions from Solutions: A Review
Over the past decades, organic-inorganic hybrid polymers have been applied in different fields, including the adsorption of pollutants from wastewater and solid-state separations. In this review, firstly, these compounds are classified. These compounds are prepared by sol-gel method, self-assembly process (mesopores), assembling of nanobuilding blocks (e.g., layered or core-shell compounds) and...
